Autumnal Equinox Celebration at Loop Head Labyrinth, Purecamping. Free Event.
Join us at the Loop Head Labyrinth this Monday, with family and friends to celebrate this important time of the year. We will light a fire, share some stories and poetry and walk the Labyrinth together.
The September equinox occurs the moment the Sun crosses the celestial equator – the imaginary line in the sky above Earth’s Equator – from north to south. As the sun shines on the equator at this time day and night are of equal, or near equal length. “Equinox” comes from the Latin equi-nox meaning equal night. It’s a time of equilibrium and balance in our lives.
The actual Autumnal Equinox is Tuesday, September 22
