Our cabins are equipped with their own WC (Toilet and sink) but we have also have on-site communal toilet and shower facilities. Hot water to the main block is provided through solar panels and a wood stove. An additional outdoor shower block featuring home-made solar showers is also provided with water from our rainwater harvesting.
We have a communal camp fire where you can spend your summer evenings under the stars toasting marshmallows and sharing stories with other guests. We can supply you with wood at a nominal fee for the camp fires.
Laundry facilities are old-style… washing basin and washing line.
Recycling and composting is encouraged and facilities are provided. We ask our guests to buy and bring only the minimum and then divide that by two! No plastic water bottles or take-away containers will be permitted on site. We have reusable drinking bottles for sale and very good FREE drinking water.
We have a clean bright campers kitchen looking out on to our camp field where you can cook up a storm with your fellow campers. It is well stocked with pots, pans, plates, cups and cooking utensils. We have kettles, toasters and two 5-ring electric hobs. Sorry, no grill, microwave or oven.
The pizza oven is always a great option for group meals, just need to book it.
Our sauna is a real treat and will add to your ‘get away from it all’ experience here
You can visit the Loop Head Labyrinth for some reflective time while you are here.
In general, we don’t encourage owners to bring their pets, but exceptions can be made for responsible pet owners. In these cases, pets need to be controlled, for example, dogs must be on a leash at all times plus pooped and scooped ? We ask owners to ensure their pets are well-tethered and are supervised by adults, as we have had instances of dogs breaking free and chasing our free-ranging hens and cats. Sadly one of our kittens didn’t recover from one particular incident.
We have a very good doggy b&b locally who can take your family pet overnight while you are here, Sandy’s Dog walking and pet care, mobile 089 438 1247
