booking/cancellation policy

A note from Trea & Kevin...
"Pure Space is a small, family-run site that operates on tight margins, thereby giving the best value that we can to our customers. When a booking is cancelled at short notice, it can be quite difficult for us to backfill the slot in a timely manner, which directly affects our ability to keep things going financially."

BOOKINGS

  • To secure your reservation, a 20% booking deposit is required at the time of booking.
Note: Deposits are non-refundable in all circumstances, including cancellation.
Exception: In the event that Pure Space is required to close due to government-imposed public health restrictions, your deposit will be refunded in full.
  • Remaining balance is due on the day of arrival.

We accept the following payment methods, all with no surcharge:

  • Most Debit and Credit cards
  • PayPal
  • Bank transfer (BACS)
  • Cash

Bank details for deposits. Please make sure to give the full name that is associated with the booking:

  • Bank name: Bank of Ireland
  • Bank address: Frances St. Kilrush, Co. Clare, V15 V560, Ireland
  • IBAN: IE51 BOFI 9042 5333 06199 20
  • BIC: BOFIIE2DXXX

Group deposit

There must be one person responsible to be the point-of-contact for groups. The point-of-contact is responsible for sharing these conditions and our ethos with their group members.

By arrangement, a noise and damage deposit of €150 may be required for group bookings.

CANCELLATIONS

We think that our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to everyone. We ask guests to read it before booking and to consider taking out travel insurance for peace of mind.

We will always do our best for you if something unexpected happens.

All cancellations must be made by email to info@purespace.ie, or through our booking system messaging service. The date of receipt of your message is the date used to calculate any charges. Verbal cancellations are not accepted, as we require a written record:

  • If the booking is cancelled more than 14 days before arrival then only the 20% deposit is forfeit.
  • If the booking is cancelled less than 14 days before arrival then a charge equal to 50% of the booking is levied.
For example, if a customer initially paid a 20% deposit of €40 for a €200 booking, then in this instance the cancellation charge would be an additional €60, so that the total charge equates to 50% of the overall booking price.
  • If the booking is cancelled less than 7 days before arrival then a charge equal to the outstanding booking balance is levied.
  • In the event of a no show, or an early departure, the full cost of the booking is charged.
  • In all circumstances, we try to backfill the vacancy as soon as we get a cancellation and we take that into account when applying cancellation charges.

OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU

When we receive a cancellation, we immediately try to rebook the vacancy. If we can rebook at the full rate for the same dates, we will refund any cancellation charge already paid, less the non-refundable deposit, at our discretion. We cannot guarantee that rebooking will be possible, and this does not form part of the contractual cancellation terms above.

We understand that life is unpredictable. If something serious happens — a bereavement, a serious illness, or a significant unexpected event — please contact us directly. We will always try to do the right thing.

BOOKING CHANGES AND REDUCTIONS

If you wish to change your arrival or departure date, we will do our best to accommodate you subject to availability. Changes requested within the cancellation windows above are treated as a cancellation of the original booking and a new booking.

Any reduction in the length of your stay after arrival is charged at the full rate for the original booking.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We strongly recommend travel insurance.
A good travel insurance policy will cover you for cancellation due to illness, injury, bereavement, and many other unforeseen circumstances — often for a very small premium relative to the cost of your stay.

Our cancellation charges reflect the real cost to our small family-run site of a late vacancy. Travel insurance protects you from bearing those costs in difficult circumstances.

EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES

Pure Space reserves the right to cancel a booking in exceptional circumstances beyond our control, including (but not limited to) severe weather, flood, fire, or government-imposed restrictions. In such cases, we will offer a full refund or the option to rebook for an alternative date at no additional charge.

ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS

By placing a booking with Pure Space — whether online, by phone, or by email — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these booking and cancellation terms.

If you have any questions before booking, please contact us at info@purespace.ie or through our booking system. We are always happy to talk things through.

Note: This policy applies to all bookings reserved from February 23rd 2026 onwards.
